Planning Permit Approval

Application will be processed and approved within 28 days after a final screening and payment of permit processing fee. All applications must be incompliance with Operative Development Plans and Planning Standards (Laws and Regulations) in Lagos State as well as the National Building Code. During the process of the Planning Permit, the Approving Authority may contact the Applicant/Developer for any additional information.

PLANNING PERMIT ISSUANCE

Applicant will be duly informed via his/her e-mail address that Planning Permit is ready and will be requested to bring Five (5) sets each of the final screened and submitted drawings duly signed and sealed by a qualified professional for endorsement and collection of Planning Permit as listed below:

• Architectural Drawing;
• Structural Drawing;
• Electrical Drawing (Where applicable);
• Mechanical Drawing (Where applicable).

Planning Permit Processing Fees

Section 2 of the Lagos State Physical Development Regulations, 2005 stated, that submission of application and payment of processing fee shall be made for planning permit. This processing fee is a function of the following:

• Site location (Categories A-C as illustrated in the table below),
• Uses,
• Size Volume (Length x Breadth x Height)
• Other pre-requisite fees include:
  • Registration/Application Form Fee,
  • Layout Fee,
  • Fencing Fee,
  • Local Planning Office Fee.
  • Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) Levy,
  • Spatial Enhancement Fee,
  • Infrastructural Development Charge.

Tables I- II show the guidelines for calculating Planning Permit Processing Fee and other Fees for Renovation, Revalidation, Re-Stamping, IDC, Demolition Permit, Penal Fees. You should however, contact the nearest District Office within your jurisdiction to find out the exact fee for your proposal.

How Do I Pay?

Online payment with debit/credit card will be available. You will be redirected to the Lagos State Payment Portal www.lasg-ebs-rcm.com to make payment accordingly. In case you choose to pay physically, a Payment Advice will be generated for you to pay at the appropriate bank and make payment confirmation on-line to process further.
